This how to guide will show you how to add and delete user accounts on Ubuntu 13.04.
The first step is to go to the dashboard and type “user” into the search bar. Once you have done that click on “user accounts” as shown below.
Once the user accounts window pops up click the “unlock” button to allow you to make changes to the users.
Enter the password for your administrator account.
Once you have entered your password and clicked authenticate, you will see a plus and minus sign in the bottom left corner of the window. Click the + to add a user.
When the add account window pops up select the account type, standard or administrator. Enter the user details and then click add.
The new user account will then be added to the list of accounts. Next you need to set a password for the account. Click on “account disabled”.
You will then enter and confirm the password or select “Log in without a password” from the drop-down menu. Click change. The user will then be activated.
To remove a user, click the minus sign as shown above.
