Whether you are trying to burn a music CD or a back up DVD Ubuntu 13.10 makes it easy to burn CDs and DVDs. By default Ubuntu 13.10 comes with a great burning tool pre installed. This burning tool is called Brasero. This tutorial will show you how to get started with burning CDs and DVDs with Brasero in Ubuntu 13.10.
Brasero is a great burning tool for burning disks using a graphical interface. Brasero uses an easy to use wizard that allows you to simply select the type of disk you are wanting to burn. For example, of you are wanting to burn an ISO image you would simply select “Burn Image”.
To open Brasero you can go to the Dash and search for “Brasero”. Once Brasero is open you will see the starting wizard where you can click on the type of burning project you are wanting to complete. The screenshot below shows you what the starting wizard looks like.
Each one of the options in the wizard will do exactly what they say they will do. For example, if you click on Audio Project then you will be able to click and drag the songs you are wanting to burn to the CD to the list and then click Burn.
