If you are like most people with a laptop you will want to connect to wireless networks at your house or when traveling. Connecting to wireless networks has become a very easy task in Ubuntu. This short tutorial will show you just how easy connecting to wireless networks is with Ubuntu 13.04.
One way of connecting to wireless networks is to take your mouse to the Network Manager indicator on the right in the top panel and click it. This will show a drop down menu with a list of available wireless networks as shown below.
To connect to one of the listed wireless networks you simply click on the name of the wireless network you want to connect to. If the icon beside the network name has a lock on it then the network is encrypted and will require a password to connect to it.
